As Policy Director for the League of American Bicyclists I work on a broad portfolio of bicycle-related issues at federal, state, and local levels of government. My current priorities include working with state and local partners to get all 50 states to take our Bicycle Friendly State Actions, advancing vehicle technology to promote the safety of people who bike and walk, and engaging in federal transportation re-authorization so that safety is the number one priority of our federal transportation funding and policy. I recently wrote Bicycling and Walking in the United States: 2018 Benchmarking Report and have an ongoing series of white papers about our 5 Bicycle Friendly State Actions.
