Upon retirement from medical practice in 2011, I moved to northeast Florida to be closer to family. I have served as Ride Director (2013) and President (2014-2018) of the North Florida Bicycle Club. During my tenure as president, we extended our advocacy efforts and developed a non-profit, Pedaling for Safety, to educate motorists and cyclists to improve the safety for cyclists on the road.
